80% of the North Shore

And 100% still here! I had planned on doing the North Shore Century this AM, but decided to ride on my own. I had only done one other ride on the route where I crashed back in August, so I needed a confidence builder. I ended up riding to the Gurnee area and enjoyed some great weather with temps in the low 80s with a slight wind and low humidity. My legs were sore from running yesterday, but I was surprised to ride 80 miles for first time since late May and not feel bonked.

Here’s my route  and a few photos of my injuries at about 5 weeks. Ironically, the last of my scabs fell off during my ride today! Also, I’m finally catching up on race reports and other posts to the blog, so stay tuned.
