Just when I was starting to get a farmer’s tan, the weather had to go back to winter. This sucks, as Beavis used to say. Oh, well. I was happy to get my first real week of training in like 2 weeks. I could still feel the effects of the flu. My power was slightly lower on my intervals and my heart rate was much higher. At least, our basement was nice and humid and I was sweating up a storm!
The MATTS Single Bong 20K TT is go for tomorrow with temps in the low 30s and 15-20 MPH winds. Should be fun! At least, it will be either dry or snow. The following weekend is supposed to be around 70, which will be quite a change. This weather brings back memories of lots of track meets held in equally horrible conditions. OK, time to go pack more clothes, but first I leave you with a little cycling inspiration under worse conditions.
