With sunny skies, temps in the upper-80s, and low humidity (not to mention completely dry trails), I couldn’t pass up the chance to take the day off of work to do some mountain biking. The advantage to midweek riding is that the trails are less crowded, which tends to make them more enjoyable. I was debating about whether to drive up to Kettle or just head out to Palos. I opted to for Palos since it’s a 40 minute drive vs 1:40.
I did three loops of my favorite collection of trails. I was a little rusty at the start, since I hadn’t ridden offroad in a few months. By my second lap, I was finally back in the groove. A great time. I took some photos and posted them below. Take a look at the interactive map and photo album.
