*&@#*@& Knee

I finally saw the sports med MD the other day for some lingering pain I’ve had in my left knee for the past month.  I was worried that it was related to the hole in my articular cartilage that was discovered a couple of years ago.  This was the injury that jump started my “career” as a bike racer once I realized that high running mileage was going to become increasingly difficult.

Thankfully, he think it’s just tendonitis.  I also realized that the pain started around the same time I lowered my saddle to address some IT band.  I decided to raise my saddle a few millimeters last night and amazingly my knee didn’t bother me as much during my LT intervals.  I’m still going to take it relatively easy the next week or two and possibly due a stretch (pun intended) of PT.  It’s always hard with injuries finding the balance between maintaining fitness and allowing yourself to heal.
