Cold Sore

Nope, I don’t have a cold sore.  I just have a saddle sore and am really cold.  After 3.5 hours on the bike yesterday, I was supposed to do an easy 2+ today.  I should have used chamois cream yesterday as 2 minutes today on the trainer reminded me of a nasty saddle sore from yesterday’s perspiration stupidity.  Thank goodness next week is my easy week!

I opted for a run even though the windchills were below 0 degrees F.  I soon remembered why I used to wear tons of gear when it was this cold.  I was outside running for only about 30 minutes and ended up farily windburned.  When we used to go out for 1-2 hour runs in this weather, you needed the protection against exposure in the cold (naked runs not included).  Now I know why.  I took my portabled anemometer with me and took a few readings on Cricket Hill (10 degrees F with a -9 degrees F windchill).  Brrrr.  So, how long until our 100+ degree F heat indexes in August?
